Lilgap Zikhyo-fæqu (/ˈzixjo/ /ˈfæqu/ [present (time)] [cow]) is a subtropical Large City located in Kodtěqril Zone, Jĭìlkìwvǐ District, within the Alveria.

The name Lilgap Zikhyo-fæqu is derived from the Goblin language, as Lilgap Zikhyo-fæqu was founded by Ew-39f 'Shilfa', who was culturaly KLEO.

Climate

Lilgap Zikhyo-fæqu has a yearly average temperature of 19°C (66°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 27°C (80°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 12°C (53°F). Lilgap Zikhyo-fæqu receives an average of 311 cm/y (122 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Lilgap Zikhyo-fæqu covers an area of nearly 151 km2 (60 mi2), and an average elevation of 3364 m (11036 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Lilgap Zikhyo-fæqu was founded durring the late 17th century in early spring of the year 1577, by Ew-39f 'Shilfa'. The establishment of the new community went well, though many minor issues had to be solved as time went on. This was enough to delay construction and push back the formal opening ceramony, leading to some embarisment for Ew-39f 'Shilfa'.

Lilgap Zikhyo-fæqu was built using the conventions of KLEO durring the late 17th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Lilgap Zikhyo-fæqu is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Lilgap Zikhyo-fæqu is buildings are arranged arround a single spacious paverstone mainstreet with many smaller streets branching off of it which gives the city a over all rectangular shape, albit one warped and twisted by the nature of the curves of the main road. The city is defended by arcane means. It's hard to spot at first, but there's a tell tell shimmer in the air arround Lilgap Zikhyo-fæqu, and you can spot the ocasional warding glyph carved into a rock or tree all arround town. These mystical defences are ancient, unknowable, and unassailable by current means... Assuming everything is in working order. Otherwise, the wards are little more than a deathtrap. The Relic of the World That Was have not been wellmaintained over the years, and while functional are in dire need of some loving care and perhapse light renovation.

Cultural Notes

The locals are in a state of despair and dull apathy. They've lost the things that used to give them pride and hope, with the best among them carrying on out of habitual duty and the worst giving ready hands to shameful deeds and ignoble acts. No one really believes the future can be better, and most seek only to satisfy immediate appetites.

Lilgap Zikhyo-fæqu's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by vertical proportions, pointed arches, external buttressing, and asymmetry in the general shape of its buildings. The decorative features of the style were key, consisting of large arched windows, pointed arches, vaulted ceilings, flying buttresses, and sculptures integrated into the structure itself. Occasionally, for very important buildings, an array of sculptures or one colossal sculpture might replace the entirety of the entrance to said building.
